Staff Product Designer (Identity Governance)

Location: Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; or Washington, DC. Hybrid schedule with two office days per week. In-person orientation is required during the first week in San Francisco or Chicago.

Annual base salary: $156,000–$215,000 USD for candidates in eligible U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Own the long-term design strategy for Okta Identity Governance across multiple releases.
• Design end-to-end access-request, access-review, and access-management journeys for IT, security, compliance, resource owners, managers, and end users.
• Define reusable design patterns and standards while raising the quality bar across the product area.
• Partner with product management, engineering, research, content, and design leadership to shape product direction and facilitate co-creation workshops.
• Present concepts to stakeholders and senior leadership, driving alignment and product decisions.
• Mentor senior designers and promote thoughtful use of AI in research, ideation, prototyping, and collaboration.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
• Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams and partnering strategically with product management and engineering.
• Portfolio demonstrating complex technical projects across research, discovery, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design, including shipped products.
• Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
