Principal Software Engineering - Virtualization

Location: Hybrid role requiring attendance at the Markham or Oshawa office at least three times per week

Salary: CAD 186,000–236,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect enterprise-scale CI/CD systems for embedded, simulation, and cloud workloads.
• Define branching, release, quality-gate, and engineering productivity standards across multiple domains.
• Design GitOps-based delivery for multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
• Lead progressive delivery strategies with automated rollback and analysis.
• Establish Terraform-based infrastructure as code, security, compliance, and observability standards.
• Coach and mentor DevOps and simulation developers while leading high-impact engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
• 15 years of software development experience.
• Deep knowledge of real-time software architecture and experience shipping high-quality safety-critical products.
• Strong Kubernetes cluster-operations knowledge and production-grade Terraform/IaC module design experience.
• Experience with embedded or simulation workflows, including vECUs, SIL, FMU, or SSP.
• Cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
