Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS)

Location: Toronto GTA, hybrid

Salary: CA$165K–CA$200K per year plus equity

hirify.global builds the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI, including systems for data capture, labeling, and hardware-enabled workflows used to train and validate humanoid and embodied AI systems.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate AWS networking, storage, and IAM infrastructure.
• Build and maintain VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect, DNS, and load balancing.
• Design and optimize petabyte-scale S3 storage, including lifecycle policies, tiering, replication, and access patterns.
• Improve data transfer from physical capture sites to customer dataset delivery workflows.
• Manage Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code through CI/CD.
• Strengthen reliability through monitoring, alerting, on-call support, incident response, postmortems, cost optimization, design reviews, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 6+ years of infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering experience with production AWS environments at scale.
• Deep AWS networking experience covering VPC design, routing, Transit Gateway or peering, VPN/Direct Connect, Route 53, load balancing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience operating large-scale AWS storage, especially S3 lifecycle policies, storage classes, replication, and performance tuning.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD ownership, with Terraform preferred.
• Solid IAM and security fundamentals, including least-privilege access, encryption, network segmentation, and audit readiness.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language for automation and tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-throughput data transfer, multi-region replication, bulk ingest/export, or services such as DataSync and Snowball.
• Hybrid or edge networking experience connecting physical sites or hardware to the cloud.
• Kubernetes/EKS, GPU compute, AWS data processing, customer-data compliance, data residency, PII handling, or SOC 2 experience.
• AWS Advanced Networking or Solutions Architect Professional certification.
