Patient Experience iCare Exchange Integrations Engineer (AI)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid with 3 days per week onsite required

Salary: CAD 102,600–152,600 annually, including target bonus

What you will do

• Design conceptual data models for analytical reporting, conversational data exploration, and patient insights.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations using IICS, Snowflake, AWS, APIs, and ETL/ELT methodologies.
• Implement data security, privacy, residency, validation, governance, and quality practices for sensitive patient data.
• Enable CI/CD and DevOps workflows, conduct code reviews, and support architecture and technical planning.
• Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, IT, and business stakeholders to translate data needs into compliant solutions.
• Deploy enterprise-grade agentic solutions with Snowflake Cortex for natural-language analytics and intelligent query assistance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in data integration, data engineering, or a similar role.
• Expert proficiency in IICS, Python, Snowflake, AWS, SQL, database design, and cloud architecture.
• Experience with data security, GDPR, healthcare data protection, data residency, and cross-border transfer regulations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, infrastructure as code, containerization, Git, and technical documentation.
• Fluent English required; an additional language is a plus.

Nice to have

• SQLDBM, AWS or Snowflake certifications, and healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Knowledge of CDISC, HL7, FHIR, Power BI, Tableau, data governance, and master data management.
• Experience with multi-agent architectures, MCP, retrieval-augmented generation, vector embeddings, orchestration frameworks, and observability tools.
