Salary: $105,000.00-$135,000.00 per year

What you will do

• Lead and strengthen a newsroom team covering AI and technology policy.
• Direct breaking news and enterprise journalism connecting politics, regulation, and risk.
• Monitor the daily news flow and maintain high editorial quality standards.
• Coordinate reporters and editors across the newsroom to ensure major developments receive comprehensive coverage.
• Set daily assignments and longer-term coverage priorities.

Requirements

• Exceptional curiosity and strong news judgment for setting assignments and the team agenda.
• Excellent editing skills, with the ability to improve stories and provide constructive feedback.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and tools, organize newsroom resources, and analyze data.
• Ability to make difficult decisions during breaking news, learn from mistakes, and adjust coverage.
• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in journalism or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of journalism experience with demonstrated success producing ambitious, high-quality stories.
