Hardware Electrical Engineer (Fitness Hardware)

Location: Woodinville, Washington, United States; hybrid role with international travel approximately 4–6 times per year, primarily to Taiwan and China.

Base salary: $126,350–$151,620 USD per year.

What you will do

• Conduct hands-on electrical testing and validation using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and regulatory test equipment.
• Support schematic capture, component selection, design reviews, PCB layout, and board-level modifications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, suppliers, JDM partners, and manufacturing teams on prototypes, design validation, issue resolution, and production transition.
• Investigate electrical and system-level issues, identify root causes, validate solutions, and document results in engineering reports.
• Work cross-functionally with Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Quality, Compliance, Product, and Manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in new product development.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, debugging, and modifying electrical hardware in a laboratory.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools.
• Ability to investigate complex technical problems, use structured testing, document findings, and communicate with technical and non-technical partners.
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 4–6 times per year, primarily to Taiwan and China.

Nice to have

• MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with regulatory or compliance test equipment.
• Experience with Altium Designer.
• Experience in consumer electronics, appliances, fitness, automotive, or similar industries.
