Manufacturing Engineer

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and document shop-floor manufacturing processes in line with engineering, safety, environmental, quality, regulatory, and internal requirements.
• Design specialist jigs and fixtures for production assembly and testing.
• Provide technical support for process instructions, documentation control, equipment, and current products.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing and quality problems, while supporting maintenance improvements.
• Evaluate new processes and equipment and prepare cost estimates for proposals and project targets.
• Participate in audits of company activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Alternatively, an associate degree with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, or at least 5 years of manufacturing experience in an assembly or machine shop environment.
• Experience in an assembly environment.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, Access, and Word.
• Basic electrical and mechanical engineering skills.
• Experience with or ability to learn LabVIEW.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.
