Shipping/Receiving Team Lead

Location: Onsite in Alpharetta, Georgia, United States. Relocation is not provided.

Salary: $22.30–$29.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Lead daily team meetings, communicate priorities, and coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling workflows.
• Allocate resources and collaborate with logistics providers, carriers, production teams, and customers to resolve transportation issues and support on-time delivery.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and lead inventory reconciliation activities.
• Track Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost performance metrics and lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate customer quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with warehouse safety and operating standards.
• Maintain training records, coordinate cross-training, and perform shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material-handling activities as needed.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pounds as a team lift and perform bending, reaching, squatting, standing, walking, and material-handling activities.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and consistently use required personal protective equipment.
• Visa sponsorship is not provided. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading employee teams and coordinating daily operations.
• Lean Manufacturing, Lean Logistics, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with inventory management, cycle counting, material flow optimization, ERP, WMS, or warehouse management systems.
• Experience leading root-cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
