Shipping Receiving Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: McMinnville, Tennessee, United States; onsite, first shift

What you will do

• Supervise shipping and receiving operators during first-shift operations, including training, handoffs, SOP compliance, and work verification.
• Schedule inbound and outbound freight, trailers, cross-docking activities, and shipments from the Cookeville location.
• Coordinate export and domestic shipments, including picking, packing, palletizing, staging, Bills of Lading, and U.S. Customs documentation.
• Process returns, investigate receiving discrepancies and damaged freight, and manage freight claims.
• Oversee yard and warehouse operations, equipment readiness, safety, PPE compliance, and shop floor supplies.
• Coordinate inventory audits, research discrepancies, maintain metrics, and collaborate with production, maintenance, purchasing, customer care, and branch teams.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree required; a four-year college degree is preferred.
• At least three years of experience in warehouse and/or branch operations.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and practices.
• Forklift or powered industrial truck certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and shipping or warehouse management systems.
• Must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support; occasional after-hours communication and infrequent overnight travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Four-year college degree.
• AS400 or BPCS experience.
