Summer 2027 Operations Internship (Banking)

Location: Columbus, OH; office-based. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States. Immigration sponsorship is not available.

Compensation: $21–$23 per hour, plus paid holidays and access to Huntington’s retirement savings plan.

What you will do

• Support enterprise operations initiatives in areas such as credit modernization, enterprise fraud, commercial business products, project support, data analysis, and process improvement.
• Collaborate directly with a manager and contribute to department projects and business initiatives.
• Analyze processes and provide recommendations for departmental improvements.
• Work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple tasks.
• Participate in professional development sessions, internship events, team projects, volunteer activities, and internal events.

Requirements

• High school diploma and enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, with at least one academic term remaining after the summer program.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities or work experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Current full-time authorization to work in the United States is required; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Studies in operations management, business management, data analytics, or a related field.
• Coursework in process improvement, data analysis, business principles, or customer understanding.
• Python, SQL, Power BI, or advanced Excel skills for data-focused roles.
• Strong interest in banking, sound judgment, and logical or critical thinking skills.
