Manufacturing Engineer

Location: On-site at the hirify.global facility in Ames, Iowa, United States. Travel may be required up to 10%. Relocation may be authorized.

What you will do

• Develop and implement improvements related to safety, quality, service, and cost.
• Support daily manufacturing operations, including tier processes, EHS activities, change management, OEE analysis, and performance-gap resolution.
• Lead continuous improvement projects across the value stream using project management tools.
• Apply statistical analysis, PPU, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving to reduce process variation and defects.
• Manage strategic source-of-supply projects and support capital investment, new product introduction, and manufacturing technology initiatives.
• Provide daily engineering support, including occasional night and weekend availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Ability to work on-site at the Ames, Iowa facility.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.
• Availability for occasional nights and weekends, with travel of up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Three years of manufacturing experience.
• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience leading multifunctional teams through complex projects.
• Experience with continuous improvement and Lean methods.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

• Expected compensation is $98,964–$120,957, including base pay and variable incentive pay when applicable.
