Salary: $108,496.89–$149,183.22 per year

What you will do

  • Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for aerospace and defense projects.
  • Develop circuit card assemblies and implement electrical wiring design practices.
  • Oversee testing, validation, integration, troubleshooting, and debugging of electronic systems and components.
  • Create and maintain designs, test plans, technical documentation, and test results.
  • Lead design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a higher relevant degree in place of some experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical and electronic design and validation techniques, engineering principles, and Computer-Aided Engineering tools.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring regulations, including EWIS, as well as FMEA and System Safety Assessment concepts.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with electrical CAD software, circuit modeling, simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
  • Knowledge of aerospace and defense standards, electrical load analysis, model-based definition, component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Familiarity with EMC, EMI, HIRF, and indirect effects of lightning.
