Process Safety Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage and support process safety activities across the Duxford site.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard studies for existing operations and new equipment.
• Maintain process safety standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Participate in root cause analysis during incident investigations.
• Contribute to the commissioning of engineering projects and collaborate with the Process Safety Centre of Excellence.
• Organize assessments, procedure reviews, and project activities to meet business deadlines.

Requirements

• Graduate engineering qualification; a Master's degree or PhD is advantageous.
• At least two years of relevant process safety experience.
• Experience with Process Safety Management systems, including implementation and improvement.
• Practical experience with risk assessments, hazard studies, management of change, and risk reduction techniques.
• Knowledge of failure mechanisms, protection systems, engineering design, and optimization across unit operations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and workload-management skills.
