Warehouse Operations Management Trainee (New Jersey)

Location: On-site in Lakewood, New Jersey; training is held on-site. Relocation out of state is required after the training program, with company-provided assistance.

Salary: $28.85/hour on a full-time schedule. Relocation or cost-of-living adjustments may also apply.

What you will do

• Complete a six-month, hands-on training program in a distribution warehouse.
• Perform duties across operations, management, purchasing, and other distribution center functions.
• Shadow experienced employees, contractors, builders, service providers, and retail customers to learn distribution processes.
• Attend classroom training in operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.
• Present a comprehensive program completion presentation to senior management.
• Travel approximately 25% and support special operations projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Experience in leadership or problem-solving, or relevant distribution, supply chain, volunteer, athletic, military, or internship experience in lieu of work experience.
• Ability and willingness to work in a distribution warehouse, maneuver pallet jacks and forklifts, and lift products weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Strong leadership, team development, self-starter, customer service, and adaptability skills.
• Willingness and ability to relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background verification is required.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn inventory and other operating systems.
