Global Artist Accounting Analyst (Royalty Accounting)

Location: Culver City, California, United States; hybrid office-first schedule with 4 days in the office per week.

Salary: $71,000–$75,000 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain artist royalty statements and settlement schedules across touring, ecommerce, retail, and licensing revenue channels.
• Review artist contracts and translate royalty rates, profit splits, advances, recoupable costs, and other terms into accurate calculations.
• Reconcile revenue, costs, cash activity, operational data, and general ledger records while investigating discrepancies.
• Support financial analysis, variance analysis, artist and project economics, and reporting for affiliate finance teams and leadership.
• Support month-end close activities, including artist royalty, revenue, cost, and tour-related accruals.
• Improve and document accounting, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting processes across affiliated businesses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting, artist or royalty accounting, financial analysis, or a related role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reconciliation and analysis of detailed financial datasets.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience interpreting contracts and applying royalty, revenue-share, or similar contractual accounting models.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across different teams, affiliates, systems, and operating environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with merchandise, ecommerce, retail, touring, licensing, music, entertainment, or consumer product revenue streams.
• Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, royalty platforms, or financial reporting tools.
