Financial Analyst (Commercial Finance)

Location: West Los Angeles, California, United States. Hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and remote work optional Thursday-Friday.

Salary: $75,000-$85,000 per year, with a possible discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain annual and ad-hoc retail price lists, ensuring pricing changes support target margins and trade strategies.
• Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and commercial decision-making.
• Prepare forecasts and financial analyses for new product development, launches, international retail, and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance, prepare month-end reporting and variance explanations, and present actionable findings to stakeholders.
• Generate item-level gross margin reports and track shipment, spending, profitability, and performance trends.
• Identify process improvements and support cross-functional problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in FP&A or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with or willingness to develop proficiency in Power BI, including data transformation, measures, and report building.
• Strong financial analysis, communication, presentation, organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, manage shifting priorities, and communicate confidently with leadership and senior executives.

Nice to have

• CPG, retail, or food and beverage experience.
• Experience with Oracle or another large ERP system.
