Salary: $98,805–$185,220 per year, depending on level and experience

Company

hirify.global is developing Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle designed for daily flight and lower-cost, higher-cadence space transportation.

What you will do

  • Own and verify the software configuration for Moses Lake test stands and ground systems.
  • Support live test operations, including pre-test checkouts, on-console support, real-time troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Translate operational friction into requirements, bug reports, feature requests, and permanent software or tooling improvements.
  • Represent Moses Lake test-site priorities within the Vehicle Software team and help improve test cadence and reliability.
  • Build tools, runbooks, documentation, deployment workflows, and verification systems that help operators and test engineers resolve issues independently.
  • Contribute to Stoke's Rust, Python, and NixOS software stack across launch vehicle and ground systems.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional or internship experience in flight software, ground software, hardware integration, or systems engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to write, debug, and ship systems software, ideally in Rust, in a Linux environment.
  • Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for automation and data tooling.
  • Experience with Git, configuration management, software deployment on physical systems, and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, subnetting, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • U.S. work authorization or eligibility under ITAR requirements is required, and the position requires in-person work in Moses Lake, including outdoors and extended test-campaign hours.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting live test, launch, or flight operations in aerospace, automotive, energy, or other high-consequence systems.
  • Experience building test frameworks, CI pipelines, hardware-in-the-loop systems, or engineering productivity tooling.
  • Familiarity with DAQ systems, instrumentation, PLCs, CAN, RS422/485, P&IDs, electrical schematics, or system diagrams.
  • Experience with technical project management.

Culture & Benefits

  • Mission-driven, collaborative environment with ownership of meaningful launch-system software.
  • Stock options for regular full-time employees.
  • Subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus company-paid life and disability insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with employer match, four weeks of paid time off, holidays, and paid family or parental leave.
  • On-site gym or monthly wellness stipend, depending on location, and dog-friendly offices.
