Software Engineer, Infrastructure Platform (Go/Terraform)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; four days per week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office.

Base salary: $133,000–$184,000 USD per year, with potential bonuses, equity, and benefits for full-time employees.

What you will do

• Develop tools for creating and maintaining cloud infrastructure and automating complex service-oriented applications.
• Build self-service engineering tools in Go and Ruby on Rails for hirify.global engineering teams.
• Design, operate, and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Manage Kubernetes Helm charts, continuous deployments, scaling, monitoring, and operational automation.
• Develop frameworks and services that improve platform security, stability, scalability, and availability.
• Partner with product development engineers to build services using modern design patterns such as the 12 Factor App methodology.

Requirements

• More than two years of cloud and infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong professional development experience with Ruby on Rails and Go.
• Experience in DevOps, SRE, or production engineering supporting customer-facing web services.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, Helm charts, highly available public cloud infrastructure, and Terraform modules.
• Experience supporting databases, message buses, caching services, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
• Collaborative communication style, customer focus, and experience partnering effectively with other engineering teams.
