Applied AI Engineer, Video Agent

Location: San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, or Toronto

Salary: $180,000–$240,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and improve the Video Agent's tools, prompts, context, planning, error recovery, and multi-turn conversation handling.
• Build evaluations and offline replays using real user sessions, run feature-flagged experiments, and analyze agent traces and results.
• Develop user-facing video editing features with TypeScript and React.
• Build backend services and long-running workflows with Python and Go.
• Partner with product managers, designers, researchers, and rendering specialists to own features from concept through launch and follow-up.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping an AI agent used by real people, including multi-step planning and tool use.
• Experience creating evaluations or test sets for model behavior and distinguishing meaningful improvements from noise.
• At least 2 years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack skills with TypeScript and React on the frontend and Python on the backend.
• Strong product sense, ownership, and willingness to investigate and solve important problems independently.
• A computer science or related degree is welcome but not required; equivalent experience is accepted.

Nice to have

• Experience fine-tuning models.
• Experience with code-to-video models that generate video through HTML or animation scripts.
• Experience working on video agent models.
