TL;DR
Electrical Test Engineer (Aerospace): Developing and executing reliability, environmental, RF, and electrical testing strategies for spaceflight hardware with an accent on test automation, equipment integration, and long-term product reliability. Focus on writing test programs, identifying failures before launch, maintaining test equipment, and improving manufacturing quality through data-driven reliability testing.

Location: Englewood, Colorado, United States; workplace: on-site

Develops spaceflight hardware and related testing systems for lunar and space exploration programs.

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, train, and oversee reliability test strategies for products and subcomponents.
  • Design and execute environmental, RF, and electrical tests tailored to product functions and operating conditions.
  • Write test programs and automate reliability testing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Plan modifications, repairs, calibrations, maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and upgrades for racks, enclosures, DAQs, and other test equipment.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, network, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve reliability and identify failures before launch.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance during scheduled maintenance and testing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 3+ years of electrical test engineering experience.
  • Experience with test software such as C++, Python, LabVIEW, or Simulink.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, schematics, assembly drawings, parts lists, and programming test applications.
  • Working knowledge of ISO, AS9100, quality control standards, and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience improving engineering and manufacturing quality processes and collaborating effectively in team environments.

Nice to have

  • AS9100 and space industry experience.
  • PCB design experience with Altium.
  • Experience designing, building, and testing wire harnesses.
  • Prior ETE experience.
  • Startup environment experience.
