Senior Software Engineer (React)

Location: 100% onsite at the El Segundo, California headquarters

Annual salary: $158,000–$219,450, plus equity.

hirify.global is a startup developing mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors, including the 1-megawatt Kaleidos reactor.

What you will do

• Own critical frontend components for the internal telemetry and fleet management platform.
• Build reliable and performant systems for telemetry review, data analysis, and complex device configuration.
• Develop mission-critical interfaces for monitoring hirify.global’s portable nuclear reactor fleet.
• Collaborate with the Mission Software team and align technical decisions with stakeholders across the company.
• Support software used to design, operate, and mass-produce portable microreactors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in web, frontend, or desktop GUI development.
• Proficiency with React and TypeScript for single-page applications, plus Jest and Playwright testing.
• Experience building performant, complex, mission-critical systems using technologies such as WebSockets, WebRTC, or SSE.
• Strong code review and debugging skills, with experience driving critical features in complex UI systems.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary and work 100% onsite at the El Segundo headquarters.

Nice to have

• Experience with TanStack Query, React Router, Pixi.js, WebGPU, Yjs, or similar CRDT technologies.
• HMI or dashboard design experience.
• Hands-on hardware technology experience and close collaboration with hardware engineers.
• Experience with Rust and Axum Web or Python and FastAPI.
