Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: On-site in Arlington, Virginia, United States; U.S. citizenship required.

Base salary: $159,000–$195,000 annually. Estimated total compensation: $204,000–$263,000, including target bonus and estimated equity.

What you will do

• Build scalable React and TypeScript features for mission-critical operator experiences.
• Develop real-time interfaces and interactive visualizations for complex cyber operation data, including graphs, timelines, and streaming views.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, design decisions, component libraries, and design systems.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
• Identify performance, technical debt, and reliability issues while improving the codebase.
• Collaborate with backend, product, design, and operations teams to deliver features for cloud and on-premises environments.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional frontend software development experience.
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript, plus modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience optimizing frontend performance at scale, including profiling, rendering strategies, and reliability improvements.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience with state management, modern build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and professional code review workflows.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. government contract and security requirements. A bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex data visualization using D3, Chart.js, or similar tools.
• Exposure to graph databases or graph query patterns such as Neo4j.
• Experience with real-time streaming data and live system visualization.
• Background in defense, cybersecurity, or other mission-critical domains.
• Experience surfacing AI/ML outputs in operational workflows or contributing to component libraries and design systems.
