Staff Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own and deliver major product projects, shipping code while coordinating and supporting other engineers.
• Participate in quarterly planning and help identify the next key projects.
• Mentor engineers during planning, prototyping, and implementation.
• Respond to incidents, write postmortems, and improve tooling and infrastructure reliability.
• Optimize infrastructure that is too costly, slow, or unstable.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and operational team members on prototypes, implementation decisions, and data analysis.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience building products and systems in production.
• Strong backend and infrastructure background with comfort across backend and frontend technologies.
• Strong communication, ownership, curiosity, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Interest in learning, teaching, and mentoring other engineers.
• Alignment with the mission of helping people do meaningful work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Django, TypeScript, React, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redshift, SQL, AI systems, and continuous integration and deployment.
