Director, Transformation (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based at the headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois, United States

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year, plus incentive pay

What you will do

• Own the AI portfolio value scorecard and finance-verified benefits certification process.
• Convert prioritized AI use cases into scoped transformation projects, enterprise-grade charters, and sequenced delivery plans.
• Build value and cost analyses for buy, build, or blend technology decisions and support executive approvals.
• Provide value sign-off for deployment decisions and coordinate governance, security, legal, privacy, and risk readiness.
• Define enterprise-readiness criteria, manage transitions from pilots to scaled operations, and enable business-unit ownership.
• Manage AI vendors, statements of work, pilot terms, commercial follow-through, and cost-versus-value exposure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA, CPA, or equivalent quantitative credential is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in finance transformation, value realization, transformation, or AI and digital program management.
• Demonstrated experience certifying financial value, defending business cases, and underwriting savings with Finance.
• Strong knowledge of governance, accountability frameworks, risk and controls, responsible AI, and data governance.
• Experience coordinating IT, data, engineering, and centers of excellence through influence rather than direct authority.
• Experience with technology or consulting vendors, contracts, statements of work, pilots, and master agreements.

Nice to have

• Experience in a private-equity-backed transformation or value creation environment.
• Experience with enterprise AI and data platforms and scaling AI from pilot to production.
• Chemical distribution, industrial distribution, or comparable B2B sector experience.
