Staff Business Data Scientist (AI)

Location: California — San Francisco, United States

Base salary: $172,500–$260,100 annually. In select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas: $207,800–$285,800 annually.

What you will do

• Partner with hirify.global Growth teams to understand business drivers and accelerate growth.
• Synthesize analytical insights into clear narratives for senior leadership.
• Develop frameworks to identify patterns and trends in customer behavior.
• Build self-service data tools and reports that improve understanding of key metrics.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to build core data models for operational and exploratory analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional industry experience in quantitative analysis.
• A related technical degree is required; a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Economics, or Physics is expected.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and programming experience in Python, R, or Scala.
• Strong foundations in statistics, experimentation, causal inference, machine learning, and analytical problem-solving.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical findings and influence stakeholders and strategic decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, running, and analyzing growth-focused experiments.
• Experience applying analytics to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaboration experience with Marketing, Growth, Go-To-Market, or Lifecycle teams.
• Experience using AI or agentic tools for analysis and building reusable analytical tools.
• Advanced degree such as an MS or PhD.
