Business Systems Developer

Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 75,000–90,000 per year, plus benefits, bonuses, and additional extra-hours payments.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain internal business applications, workflows, digital tools, and automation solutions.
• Build integrations between CRM, ERP, HRIS, finance, project management, and other third-party systems using APIs, middleware, and custom connectors.
• Translate business process requirements into functional and technical specifications and follow SDLC standards through design, development, testing, documentation, and release.
• Implement secure coding practices, participate in code reviews, and maintain documentation for code, integrations, architecture, and configuration.
• Troubleshoot application defects, integration failures, performance issues, and system errors while supporting IT Operations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and participate in testing, release planning, upgrades, and deployments.

Requirements

• Experience with full-stack development across backend, frontend, and scripting.
• Proficiency in one or more of C#, JavaScript/Node, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with API development, including REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of SQL, database design, data modeling, Git or GitHub Enterprise, and version control practices.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, secure coding, and software development lifecycle concepts.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with low-code platforms such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud environments.
