Software Developer IV (AI)

Location: Remote, Canada

Salary: CAD 100,000–120,000 per year

What you will do

• Translate business problems and technical specifications into reliable full-stack software solutions.
• Design, implement, test, document, and maintain applications using engineering and security best practices.
• Perform code reviews, identify defects and vulnerabilities, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and refactoring while validating generated output.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and contribute to design artifacts and product documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers through peer reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of full-stack software development experience across frontend and backend systems.
• Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, REST API design, and relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Git-based CI/CD pipelines, incremental unit testing, and coding best practices.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, including evaluating hallucinated APIs, outdated patterns, security risks, and generated code before merge.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; employment sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with market research data collection and processing, preferably Unicom Intelligence.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including Lambda or equivalent serverless services.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, OWASP Top 10, or agentic software development.
