Sr. Client Success Manager (Energy)

Location: USA-Remote

Salary: $101,000–$161,500 base salary per year, plus potential performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary advisor and point of contact for a portfolio of high-value enterprise accounts.
• Build C-level and stakeholder relationships while aligning solutions with customer objectives, operational processes, financial goals, and industry challenges.
• Map, document, and optimize client business processes, including process redesign and software development requirements.
• Apply accounting principles to financial modeling, billing accuracy, compliance, reporting, and value realization discussions.
• Coordinate Professional Services, Support, Product, Finance, and other teams to deliver services, meet SLAs, resolve escalations, and mitigate risks.
• Lead executive and quarterly business reviews, monitor account health, support retention, identify expansion opportunities, and provide customer feedback to Product, Engineering, and Leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in Client Success, Customer Success, Account Management, or Consulting, including at least 4 years with enterprise-level customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience managing large, complex B2B accounts, preferably in SaaS, technology platforms, energy technology, utilities, or professional services.
• Strong business process expertise, including mapping, analysis, workflow optimization, and software development requirements.
• Understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP or IFRS, financial operations, reporting, revenue recognition, cost allocation, and accruals.
• Strong analytical, relationship-building, executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and CRM or customer-success tooling skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Distributed Energy Resources, including solar, battery storage, demand response, virtual power plants, grid integration, or energy management systems.
• Experience in service delivery management, project management, SLA adherence, resource coordination, and issue resolution.
• Background in energy, utilities, cleantech, renewable energy, SaaS, or subscription-based business models.
• PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, or Lean certification or experience.
