Engineering Lead – Taste Elevation (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Virtual, USA; field-based with frequent travel to customer locations, stores, manufacturing facilities, and sites outside the home state for periods of up to 50%

Base salary: $141,500–$176,900 annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Drive multi-year and annual maintenance and growth capital planning across assigned sites and manufacturing groups.
• Lead capital projects from conceptual design through commissioning and vertical start-up, managing budgets, schedules, scope, safety, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate internal teams, engineering partners, contractors, vendors, procurement, governance groups, and other stakeholders.
• Establish project structures, resource plans, risk-management processes, change controls, cost controls, forecasts, and progress reporting.
• Improve capital project management standards, best practices, KPIs, capital expenditure management, and total cost of ownership.
• Manage, coach, and mentor engineering and capital project managers while supporting organizational change and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited engineering school.
• Experience in engineering, project management, or technical leadership across multiple sites; plant operations, maintenance, or engineering experience is preferred.
• Experience with strategic and annual capital planning and leading cross-functional capital projects or programs valued at $20MM or more.
• Strong knowledge of food-industry process and packaging equipment, facility engineering, maintenance, building systems, utilities, mechanical and electrical systems, refrigeration, controls, and water and wastewater systems.
• Working knowledge of project management, pre-design and pre-construction, construction drawings, contract management, project delivery methods, and regulatory coordination.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, work flexible schedules including nights and overtime as needed, inspect operational sites, and work in noisy environments.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Experience with in-plant technical roles and plant facility engineering.
