Packaging Engineer (Food Packaging)

Location: Camden, New Jersey, USA. The role requires domestic and international travel of up to 25%.

Salary: $95,200–$130,900 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, develop, and implement packaging components and systems for the Italian and Frozen category.
• Work with Marketing, CCID, Supply Chain, manufacturing, vendors, and co-manufacturing partners to deliver packaging solutions.
• Drive cost savings, process improvements, and manufacturing efficiency gains across packaging components and processes.
• Execute package testing, production line trials, and performance evaluations.
• Support manufacturing during commercialization and packaging changes.
• Write technical specifications, review packaging drawings, and participate in artwork approvals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development, ideally in high-volume food, consumer goods, or retail electronics.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, configurations, processing technologies, and package testing.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
