Developer / Senior Developer - Mainframe

Location: Leicestershire Head Office, Leicester, United Kingdom; onsite work required.

Salary: £42,100–£55,400 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and support new and existing mainframe business solutions.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, programming, testing, maintenance, and support.
• Design and code business-critical systems used 24/7, 365 days a year.
• Develop solutions in both batch and online environments while following relevant technical standards.
• Collaborate with user communities and provide technical and non-technical guidance.
• Contribute to the modernization of complex legacy systems using Agile methodologies.

Requirements

• Commercial experience working in a mainframe environment.
• Strong experience with COBOL/CICS COBOL, ADABAS, NATURAL, DB2, SQL, JCL, and Syncsort or DFSort.
• Experience working collaboratively in a large-scale, fast-paced, multifunctional technical team.
• Good written and verbal English sufficient for effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the Leicestershire Head Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Selcopy, IBM Fault Analyzer, APIM, z/OS Connect, WebSphere MQ, XML, JSON, FTP, or ZIP390.
