Assistant/Associate Professor, Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing and Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Lead the continued development of the Bachelor of Science program in Industrial Engineering.
• Develop and refine curriculum and teach undergraduate engineering courses.
• Establish or expand a research program in the candidate's discipline.
• Mentor students and contribute to the Master of Science in Engineering program.
• Support the development of the approved Ph.D. in Engineering program.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; advanced ABD candidates may be considered for the Assistant Professor rank if the degree is conferred by the time of appointment.
• Established scholarship record with significant journal publications appropriate to the candidate's experience.
• Research and teaching experience or interest in manufacturing and production engineering, or supply chain and logistics.
• For the Associate Professor rank: five years of full-time university faculty experience, including at least four years as an Assistant Professor; related professional experience may substitute in rare cases.
• Ability to teach, conduct research, mentor students, and contribute to engineering program development.

Nice to have

• Interdisciplinary research experience.
• Experience with government or industrial research laboratories.
• Experience or additional interest in human-systems interface.
