Sr. Engineer, Operations (Oil and Gas)

Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada; 5-day office-based work model with regular travel to operating sites

What you will do

• Maintain asset performance awareness and lead technical troubleshooting when equipment, process safety barriers, or operating conditions are challenged.
• Identify, prioritize, and manage technical and operational risks across assigned assets.
• Develop reliability, optimization, maintenance, and multi-year capital planning opportunities.
• Act as the engineering contact for field leadership and coordinate technical support for asset health requirements.
• Oversee Management of Change and other technical governance processes while coordinating engineering activities.
• Support design reviews, HAZOPs, process safety events, incident investigations, and technical assurance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering may be considered with relevant experience.
• Professional designation as P.Eng., P.L. (Eng.), or P.Tech. (Eng.) registered with APEGA.
• Minimum 10 years of oil and gas industry experience.
• Experience with the design, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of midstream gas processing, liquids handling, terminal operations, or related industrial infrastructure.
• Knowledge of asset reliability, process safety, industry codes and standards including ASME, API, and NACE, plus regulatory and environmental requirements.
• Working knowledge of HYSYS or ProMax, PI Vision, PI Datalink, Maximo, and Microsoft 365; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to operating sites are required.
