Infrastructure and Operations Engineer

Location: Scott AFB, Illinois, United States. Minimum active Secret clearance required.

Provides engineering support for Air Mobility Command and Department of Defense infrastructure, communications, and network operations.

What you will do

• Design, install, operate, survey, upgrade, and troubleshoot SAN, HCI, VDI, and Cross Domain Solution environments.
• Provide network engineering support for NIPR/SIPR networks and IPN components.
• Evaluate products and systems, recommend technology refreshes, and track end-of-life and end-of-support requirements.
• Investigate infrastructure, network, and hardware issues and provide guidance on network design and technical support.
• Develop, submit, track, and update system Change Requests and authorization letters.
• Implement patches and software updates in accordance with DoD directives, STIG, and UCR requirements.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experience building and maintaining Storage Area Networks and supporting data storage growth.
• Experience with cloud technology, cloud computing, server virtualization, and administration.
• Knowledge of secure and non-secure wired and wireless network transmission systems.
• Understanding of interoperability for mixed network and equipment environments, including CSfC and Suite B secure data transmission.
• Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining HCI and VDI hardware and software, plus knowledge of IT program and project management.
