Consultant (GovCon)

Location: Anywhere in the United States; occasional travel is required for customer meetings, implementation activities, and training.

Salary: $74,305–$87,418 per year, plus eligible employee equity and discretionary bonus compensation.

What you will do

• Lead concurrent ERP implementations and fixed-scope add-on engagements, including optimization, expansion, training, and data-load projects.
• Gather requirements and configure invoicing, revenue recognition, labor costing, cost pools, overhead allocations, and other project-accounting workflows.
• Load foundational data for projects, tasks, customers, employees, subcontractors, and related records.
• Guide customers through their first month-end close and reconciliation cycle, including A/R, A/P, WIP, unbilled amounts, and bank reconciliations.
• Deliver customer training, support adoption, communicate project status and risks, and coordinate with Project Management, Customer Success, Sales, and Support.
• Manage scope, dependencies, deliverables, schedules, budgets, utilization targets, and defined workstreams across multiple engagements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in ERP or accounting software implementations, business consulting, accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of invoicing, A/R, A/P, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and project or cost accounting.
• Experience translating business requirements into system configurations or process recommendations.
• Proficiency manipulating large data sets in Excel and managing multiple customer workstreams with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to meet identity verification and security access requirements.

Nice to have

• CPA or another relevant accounting credential.
• Experience with government contractors or government contracting accounting requirements.
• Experience with Deltek, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar government accounting and ERP systems.
• Experience in project-based accounting and scoping, estimating, or delivering small implementation projects.
