Senior Preditor, Sr. Producer/Editor – “Preditor” (Social Media/Short Form)

Location: Washington, DC, United States; candidates must live within commuting distance and work onsite four days per week.

Salary: $139,200–$186,600 per year, plus potential bonus, long-term incentive units, and benefits.

What you will do

• Produce, edit, and deliver short-form social media and brand video content across National Geographic platforms.
• Lead shoots, coordinate crews and vendors, and interview and direct on-camera talent.
• Develop creative concepts, decks, campaigns, and high-priority brand projects from initial idea through final delivery.
• Use audience analytics and platform insights to improve content performance, reach, and engagement.
• Perform technical editing, quality control, media conversions, archiving, and file optimization for different platforms.
• Partner with editorial, marketing, audio, engineering, content operations, and senior leaders while coaching videographers and team members.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with short-form nonlinear editing across multiple platforms.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Dolby 5.1 audio.
• Experience producing high-priority brand content from concept development through final delivery.
• Exceptional short-form storytelling skills and knowledge of current editing practices and platform capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Must live within commuting distance of the Washington, DC office and work onsite four days per week.
