What you will do
- Lead the Audio Legal & Governance Hub and set its strategic vision, priorities and operating roadmap.
- Provide executive-level legal, regulatory and governance advice across Bauer Media Audio’s nine markets.
- Oversee legal licensing, compliance, risk management, data protection, sustainability, government affairs and public policy.
- Lead the audio music rights strategy, including negotiations, dispute resolution and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage legal operations, external counsel, legal technology and resources to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Build alignment across market legal teams, Joint Collaboration Teams, Group functions, regulators and external partners.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales, or equivalent qualification in a European jurisdiction.
- 15+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Senior in-house legal and governance experience in a complex, multinational organisation, preferably in media, entertainment, technology or digital sectors.
- Executive or senior leadership experience managing legal, compliance and governance functions across multiple markets.
- Experience with commercial, licensing and intellectual property matters; broadcasting, audio, music rights or content licensing experience is highly desirable.
- Advanced degree in law, business administration or a related field.

- Experience working with regulators, government bodies, industry associations and external partners.
- Relevant compliance certifications.
- Additional language skills.
