Electrification Controls System Senior Engineer (Electrification)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex electronics systems, components, subsystems, and processes for electrification products.
• Perform requirements analysis and decomposition, needs analysis, network analysis, and engineering data analysis.
• Conduct Failure Mode Effects Analysis, create boundary diagrams and interface specifications, and identify and resolve design problems.
• Design and promote control systems and subprocesses, evaluate new products and systems, and perform integration laboratory testing.
• Maintain products and communicate technical information to customers, suppliers, engineers, managers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering or computer science program.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, requirements analysis, technical troubleshooting, product testing, analytical thinking, and problem solving.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and support engineering and cross-functional decisions.
• Ability to work onsite in Mossville, Illinois five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience authoring Software Requirement Specifications.
• Experience with J1939 and Ethernet datalinks.
• Previous software development experience and experience managing delivery from requirements through validation.
• Experience collaborating with process partners and proficiency with MATLAB modeling software.
