Vice President, AI Architect (AI)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $350,000–$375,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and drive company-wide AI and agentic architecture, roadmaps, interfaces, and design patterns.
• Design and build full-stack AI systems connecting models, retrieval, agent runtimes, memory, tools, and execution environments.
• Architect production AI systems for performance, resilience, scalability, and deployment across cloud and edge environments.
• Create reusable components, shared APIs, tooling, and developer practices across products and independent engineering teams.
• Design AI lifecycle architecture covering data ingestion, model adaptation, evaluation, deployment, observability, rollback, and recovery.
• Embed security, governance, permissions, execution boundaries, and auditability into AI architectures.

Requirements

• BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent practical experience in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, systems engineering, or AI engineering with senior technical leadership across multiple products or business units.
• Experience designing and delivering production generative or agentic AI systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, software design, APIs, performance engineering, model integration, inference serving, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Experience establishing shared platforms and engineering standards, aligning senior stakeholders, explaining architectural tradeoffs, and mentoring technical teams.
• Proven use of AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Contributions to open-source projects or industry standards.
• Experience with Linux systems software, networking, accelerated computing, or AI deployment across cloud and edge environments.
• Experience modernizing established platforms into AI-native systems, especially in cybersecurity or other demanding security and reliability environments.
