Design Senior Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop timely design solutions for production concessions involving metallic, composite, and hybrid aircraft structures.
• Assess design deviations and nonconformances and align repair or modification solutions with the aircraft definition.
• Create design answers and drawing packs supporting T200 and T300 completion.
• Collaborate with Stress, Manufacturing, Quality, and other stakeholders to satisfy airworthiness, safety, efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain technical signature delegation for primary and secondary aircraft structures and support aircraft build activities.
• Mentor less experienced design engineers and designers, manage workflow, and lead improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Aerospace, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in aircraft-structure design or analysis.
• Experience with CATIA V5 and/or 3D Experience.
• Experience designing complex repair solutions and modeling aircraft-part repairs and modifications.
• Ability to interpret documentation such as SRM, NTM, AMM, CMM, and IPCC.
• Experience with programming or automation methods using Excel VBA, Python, or JavaScript.
