LQA Analyst (Brazilian Portuguese)

What you will do

• Execute test passes on localized game builds to verify linguistic, functional, and visual accuracy.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and escalate localization bugs involving translation, UI, variables, terminology, and cultural appropriateness.
• Amend or propose objective linguistic corrections in text management systems.
• Validate glossaries, style guides, platform terminology, branding requirements, and localization quality standards.
• Review player reports and localization tickets, participate in bug triage and milestone QA reviews, and identify systemic localization or internationalization risks.
• Contribute to test case creation and improvement while maintaining knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese project terminology.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• 1–3 years of experience in functional QA, localization QA, or related testing.
• Experience with game consoles, mobile platforms, or game development terminology.
• Familiarity with QA and localization workflows, bug logging, test execution, JIRA, bug-tracking platforms, or text management systems.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and version control platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus a detail-oriented, organized, collaborative approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with localization or CAT tools such as Trados, MemoQ, or XLOC.
• Experience overseeing external QA partners or freelance reviewers.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA accreditation.
• Knowledge of regional age-rating standards and first-party certification requirements for Sony, Nintendo, or Microsoft.
