Production Engineer (Wood, Pigment & Veneer)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; travel to supplier sites required for up to 50% of working time.

What you will do

• Drive continuous improvement of product quality, production processes, workflows, and machine capacity utilization using Lean and 5S tools.
• Build supplier relationships, visit production sites, support action plans, and cooperate in audit processes.
• Resolve quality claims from start to finish, secure compliance with product specifications, and assess production risks.
• Manage quality compliance through documentation spot checks, root-cause analysis, containment, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify and implement product improvements and support Product Engineers during product development and factory implementation.
• Analyze supplier quality data and contribute to process, cost, design, and quality improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Quality & Compliance or a production environment.
• Knowledge of material properties, production processes, and technologies; wood-processing knowledge is advantageous.
• Critical and analytical thinking, strong communication, time-management, multitasking, and project-management skills.
• Ability to work with suppliers of different nationalities and balance factory-floor activities with office work.
• Category B driving license.
• Ability to travel to supplier sites for up to 50% of working time.
