A/V Technician I

Location: Lexington Park, Maryland, United States; on-site 5 days per week. Travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites may be required for up to three to four weeks at a time, with total travel up to 50%.

Salary: $22.92–$26.36 per hour, according to applicable SCA wage rates and benefits.

What you will do

• Perform Stage-2 testing of received audiovisual equipment.
• Label communications infrastructure, including cables, panels, patch cords, and electronics.
• Support the installation and mounting of monitors, speakers, microphones, and related equipment in secure spaces.
• Fabricate, terminate, install, test, commission, and troubleshoot AV cabling and systems.
• Manage equipment inventories and record configuration information for installed equipment and software modules.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience testing or integrating electronic equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, ability to follow basic flow diagrams, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, lift items within NIOSH limits, and work in elevated, confined, or cramped spaces.
• Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, climb ladders and scaffolding, and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and travel to domestic and international sites.

Nice to have

• JSTD certification.
• Electrical installation background.
• Current Secret or higher security clearance.
