What you will do

• Plan, direct, and supervise 20–25 direct labor employees manufacturing large diesel engines and aftermarket components.
• Maintain a safe production environment by enforcing safety policies, eliminating hazards, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions.
• Plan and execute production schedules to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Control work-in-process and finished-goods inventory while improving planning and reducing lead times.
• Drive productivity improvements through lean initiatives, standard work instructions, and process improvements.
• Coach employees, address performance issues, assess workforce skills, and initiate cross-training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of experience and a proven track record in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; ERP experience preferred.
• Strong ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with heavy manufacturing processes and supervision in a union-represented environment is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or a manufacturing-related field.
• Oracle systems experience.
• Knowledge of welding, heavy manufacturing machining, assembly processes, and lean manufacturing methodology.
