IT Infrastructure Engineer (Windows, Active Directory & VMware)

Location: Madrid, Spain; full-time employment based in Spain

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and improve Windows and Linux server infrastructure.
• Manage virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control platforms.
• Administer Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure services.
• Support enterprise applications and services, including email and business systems.
• Lead small and medium-sized infrastructure projects and contribute to larger cross-domain initiatives.
• Perform qualification, validation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, asset management, vendor coordination, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers and working with virtualization technologies.
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI, email or MTA technologies, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with infrastructure projects, monitoring, patch management, configuration management, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, hybrid infrastructure, Azure Arc, or Azure Update Manager.
• Experience with Zabbix, PowerShell, infrastructure automation, Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.
• Experience with Veeam or similar backup technologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL, change management, qualification, validation processes, and relevant technical certifications.
