Agentic Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote for candidates residing in DC, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support the hirify.global application suite using C#, SQL, and JavaScript.
• Architect and integrate AI-driven features and systems beyond simply consuming AI tools.
• Build and improve agentic, spec-driven development workflows using AI coding assistants for at least 50% of development.
• Ensure application stability, scalability, and resiliency through monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Apply Git, Jira, and modern DevOps practices while contributing to code quality, system design, and AI architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and supporting production software systems as an agentic engineer or senior software developer.
• Experience using agentic engineering and spec-driven development techniques in daily workflows.
• Strong understanding of software design, system decomposition, and ER data modeling.
• Ability to resolve complex issues and document root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
