Credit Analyst

Location: Chester or Cardiff, United Kingdom. Hybrid working requires at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the office.

Salary: £30,201–£31,790 per year.

What you will do

• Use SAS and Excel to manipulate and interrogate data within a robust control environment.
• Perform data analytics to support customer needs and responsible lending decisions.
• Produce accurate, trusted reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with credit risk and infrastructure teams to improve credit strategies.
• Identify opportunities to automate and transform analytical processes.

Requirements

• Degree in a numerate subject or equivalent quantitative experience.
• Experience using, or willingness to learn, programming and analytical languages such as SAS, SQL, or BigQuery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
• Curiosity, proactive personal development, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Prior retail banking credit risk experience is advantageous.
