Salary: USD 125,000–145,000 yearly

What you will do

  • Support FEMA’s Office of Emerging Threats with analysis of emerging hazards, including cyberattacks, climate-driven impacts, advanced weapons technologies, and CBRN policy issues.
  • Coordinate communications with FEMA leadership, Public Affairs, Congressional Affairs, and other mission stakeholders.
  • Develop briefings, presentations, after-action reports, speeches, testimony materials, articles, and periodic reports for FEMA leadership and broader distribution.
  • Maintain and develop internal and external FEMA OET websites and create brochures, kiosks, graphics, videos, and other mission-focused products.
  • Provide training and advisory support on regulations, threat-analysis documents, and stakeholder interactions.
  • Ensure Section 508 compliance for contractor-developed videos and documents.

Requirements

  • US citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust required.
  • 7+ years of experience in FEMA, emerging threats, or policy analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
