Senior Manager, Global Critical Response

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid. The role supports operational coverage across US, UK, and Australia time zones.

Base salary: $145,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the global Critical Response strategy, operational objectives, performance measures, and scalable operating practices.
• Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed team while managing coverage, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
• Strengthen investigations, escalation pathways, decision frameworks, training, quality standards, and preparedness for urgent and high-risk cases.
• Act as a senior escalation point and collaborate with Policy, Product, Legal, Engineering, Communications, and Partnerships on sensitive incidents.
• Use Trust & Safety analytics, case trends, and quality insights to identify threats, recurring harms, and operational gaps.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to improve investigation tools and responsibly apply AI and automation while protecting privacy and preserving human oversight.

Requirements

• Typically 8+ years of experience, or equivalent skills gained through an alternative background.
• Substantial experience in global Trust & Safety, investigations, crisis or critical incident response, law enforcement operations, risk management, or a related field.
• Experience handling complex, highly sensitive escalations and designing scalable workflows, governance, quality standards, preparedness practices, and performance frameworks.
• Experience building trusted relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, non-profits, or other external safety organizations.
• Proven people leadership experience, ideally across multiple regions or time zones, with a focus on clarity, accountability, and team development.
• Ability to use operational data and risk analytics, influence senior cross-functional stakeholders, and evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, bias, privacy, and responsible use.
