Senior Underwriter, Southeast (Cyber Insurance)

Location: Remote within the Southeast region of the United States; preferably Texas. Regular travel is required for broker management, client meetings, education, and market-facing activity.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, depending on geographic market, qualifications, skills, experience, and other factors.

What you will do

• Underwrite and manage new and renewal accounts involving larger revenue bands and complex cyber and technology risks.
• Own senior broker relationships and participate in executive-facing client and broker discussions.
• Evaluate coverage, manuscript endorsements, alternate forms, pricing, structure, risk appetite, and profitability.
• Maintain underwriting documentation and workflows in line with governance and carrier requirements.
• Mentor and coach underwriters while contributing to underwriting standards, escalation practices, and training.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Claims, CPU, and Security to improve underwriting decisions and client outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of underwriting experience, including several years handling high-complexity cyber and Technology E&O risks.
• Ability to analyze complex cyber and technology risks and assess their implications for underwriting, pricing, structure, and profitability.
• Ability to develop solutions aligned with broker and client needs and explain the rationale clearly.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with confidence in executive-facing conversations.
• Experience mentoring others and contributing to underwriting standards, governance, or training.
• Ability to work remotely from the Southeast region of the United States and travel regularly for market-facing activities.
